this week for the Canucks consisted of:

improbable shutout win over the Leafs after arriving in Toronto seven hours before the game started

embarrassing loss to the Jets where they let in three unanswered goals in the first period but Nils Höglander broke his 34-game goal drought

embarrassing loss to the Kings where they let in three unanswered goals in the first period on home ice

improbable win over the Oilers where one of the most impactful players on the ice almost didn’t play because of an imminent trade involving him that fell apart somewhere in the 24 hours before the game

and after all that, while star players are still being involved in trade rumours that seem to get more concrete by the day, they have to be casino dealers today while the rookies embarrass themselves in front of rich people for charity. this is what Canucks hockey is all about

Oh my god this is such an honor…. Unfortunately I’m going to influence you to Experience Canucks Hockey™️

Honestly!!! Hockey isn’t hard to get into!! Every game is super fast paced which means it’s never boring, and the base premise is the exact same as most sports. Ball (in this case puck) into net.

Tbh it’s just Soccer/Football/Bundesliga on ice and with a time out box.

The Vancouver Canucks are my team!! And also the team that 🫵 you 🫵 should support. We’ve never won a Stanley Cup, but we have Quinn Hughes (the haunted looking man I’ve been drawing)

Overall we have a lot of very fun players, a lot of very good players trapped in hell together, and also just generally good vibes if you don’t listen to Twitter rumors. In essence, we’re kind of pathetic but not in a total bottom feeder way, more in a “every year we either make the playoffs or get agonizingly close to the playoffs but the Cup is always out of reach” kind of way. We also have @ Nucksmemes on Instagram, who’s hilarious. And I think (?) that the Canucks have one of the more active fan bases? Which is nice because if you’re a fan of like. Utah you’re basically suffering alone. But we suffer together 😃

Currently we are losing!!? But also winning!!! We have Quinn who is in the running for the Norris (award for defensemen, he won it last year as well) and the Hart (award for the overall MVP of any team, tbh he should be a landslide winner here). And almost everyone else on the team sucks but no one is injured currently so THINGS ARE LOOKING UP 🗣️

Also Quinn Hughes has 2 younger brothers, both of whom are also NHL players (NJ Devils) and everytime they play each other it’s a whole fun event!! The next Hughes Bowl™️ is in like. 50 days? So something to look forward to!
